High tensile fasteners are those fasteners which are used in high intensity stress applications. This strength is required by these fasteners to hold the components under extensive stress. For example, these fasteners would be used in construction areas and industrial environment. 

  When torque is applied and it is tightened, it will require an increased amount of torque to further tighten. People who are mostly inexperienced and are working with torques usually over-tighten the fasteners. They think that it will stop them from loosening, but that’s usually not the case. It damages the fasteners. A thread locker solution, locking washer, locking nut or a combination of these three must be used to prevent the fastener from loosening over time.
