Unlike many other screw types that taper to a sharp point at the tip, machine screws are almost always blunt-ended. Machine screws are typically stronger than other types of screws. Industrial bolts and nuts have different applications in different industries because they come in different sizes, special grades (that have mechanical and chemical capabilities), and shapes in the market. 

High tensile fasteners are those fasteners which are used in high intensity stress applications. This strength is required by these fasteners to hold the components under extensive stress. For example, these fasteners would be used in construction areas and industrial environment. 

The screw works when the movement is powered by the screw driver of a screw. The rotational force is converted into up and down force. The power of the screw is dependent on how close the threads are and how far away the threads are from the centre of the screw where force is applied. 

  Hex bolts are also called the hexagon head bolts. They have hexagonal head which is tightened with a socket or a wrench. These bolts are usually used to fasten metal to metal, wood to metal or wood to wood. 

  When torque is applied and it is tightened, it will require an increased amount of torque to further tighten. People who are mostly inexperienced and are working with torques usually over-tighten the fasteners. They think that it will stop them from loosening, but that’s usually not the case. It damages the fasteners. A thread locker solution, locking washer, locking nut or a combination of these three must be used to prevent the fastener from loosening over time. 

In manufacturing, small fasteners play a great role. Engineers would have a tough time designing small gadgets and products without these micro screws. Not only do these fasteners allow you to hold various parts of a product together but also allow easy disassembling in order to repair and replace.
